AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
w
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:

Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
U A tract of land located in the West 76 acres of the Northeast Quarter of Section 35,
Township 13 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County
Kansas. More particularly described as follows.
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter;
Thence, on an assumed bearing of N 00° 01'39" E along the West line of said Northeast
Quarter for a distance of 1246.67 feet to the intersection of the North right-of-way line
of Monarch Drive extended West;
Thence, S 89° 59' 18" E for a distance of 1268.07 feet to the Northwest corner of
Interstate District North of I-70 No. 2.
Thence, S 00° 0 F 13" W along the West line of Interstate District North of I-70 No. 2
for a distance of 1246.41 feet to a point on the South line of said Northeast Quarter.
Thence N 90° 00'00" W along said South line a distance of 1268.23 feet to the Point of
Beginning;
Containing 1,580,799.8 square feet, 36.29 acres more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
' Section 2. That the Salina Area Map (Figure 18, P, 172) of the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Salina be and is hereby amended to show the above described tract as a Primary Service Area for
the extension of the City utilities and services.
Section 3 That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned "A-1" II J
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the city.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
