2959 Prohibiting Fireworks♦.7 O ORDINANCE NUMBER 2959 ttbi fished in "he S� l%na Daily Union March �, � _ 1924 } An Ordinance prohibiting the use of fireworks, fire crackers or other similar articles within certain portions of the City of Sal il-R and making the violation: of this ordinance a misdemeanor and providing a penalty therefor. BE IT ORDAIFED by the Board of Co unissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas'. Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, at any time, to burn, set off, discharge, shoot or otherwise use any torpedoes, fire crackers or fireworks of any kind or cap pistols, blank cartridge pistols, canes or other similar articles or appliances within that portion of the City of Salina within the following; boundaries, to merit: commencing at the northtlrest corner of Seventh and E2m Streets, thence east along the north line of Elm Street to its inter- section with the Smoky Rill River, thence in a southerly direc- tion up to the west line of the Smoky Hill River to its inter- section with the south line of Iran Avenue, thence west along the south line of Tran Avenue to its intersection with the east line of the alley running north and south between Fifth Street and Fourth Street, thencesouth along the east line of said alley to its intersection with the south 'Line of t:'alnut Street, thence west along the south line of Iffalnu.t Street to its intersection with the west line of Seventh Street, thence north along the west line of Seventh Street to the point of beg inning . Section 2. That any person violating any of the provi- sions of the foregoing section of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Five Dollars ($5.00) for each offense, Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official City paper. Introduced for first reading, arch 10th, 1924.
