An .Ordinance creating a Board of Trustees for the employment of a
Salina Municipal Band, for the handling of funds known as
The Municipal band r'und," and providing.for the appointment
of the members of such Board of Trustees and defining the
duties thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:

Section 2. That the three members of such Board of. Trustees
first appointed, shall serve terms of one, two and three years,
respectively, as may be designated in their certificates of
appointment, and thereafter one member shall be appointed each
year. The terms -of the three so first appointed to commence Jan-
uary 1, 1924. Said Board of Trustees shall serve without remuneration.
Section 3. That it shall be the duty of said Board of Trustees
to enter into a written contract on or before January l,. 1924, for
the services of a band for municipal purposes, suah as public con -
Certs or equivalent services to be given at such times and places
under such regulations as may be set forth in the contract. .Said
contract shall be entered into and executed by the executive Commission
of the Band and the City Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas,
upon the recommendation of the Board of Trustees of the Municipal
band "und. Said Board of Trustees shall authorize all expenditures
to be made .in connection with said contract with'said band and no
money shall be paid out of said fund, .except with the written consent
of such Board of •l:rustees, and ell moneys appropriated for the iis e
or in payment for said services of said band in connection with the
contract as above indicated, shall be paid.only on.vouchers executed
in the usual form, bearing the approval of the Board of Trustees.

oection 4. Any contract made by said Board of 'T'Y'ustees and
the Band with the leader or director for the services of such band,
shall be submitted to, and approved by the Board of Commissioners of
the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 5. chis ordinance shall take effect and be 3n full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.

An OPdinance creating a Board of Trustees fdr the employment of a
Salina Municipal Band, for the handling of funds known as "The
Municipal Band Fund" and providing for the appointment
of the members of such Board of Trustees and defining
the duties thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Oommissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Salina
Section 1. That the fund known as the ffunicipal Band Fund,
levied, assessed and collected in the manner provided by law, shall
be administered from and after the first day of January, 1924, by a
board of three Trustees, to be known as the "Trustees of the Munic-
ipal Band Fund", who shall be appointed as follows: One member

of said Board to be recommended by the Chamber of Commerce of the
City of Salina, nansas, one member to be recommended by the Salina
Municipal Band and the third member to be recommended by the Mayor
ti of the City of i5alina. Said Board of Trustees shall be recommended
subject to the final approval of the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the three members of Such Board. of
Trustees first appointed shall serve terms of one, two and three
,years respectively, as may"be designated in their certificates;
of appointment, and thereafter one member shall be appointed each
