An ordinance granting to Union Pacific Railroad Company, its success-
ors and assigns, the right toconstruct, maintain and operate a
standard gua ge railroad track over and across zlm Street in the
City of Salina, Kansas..
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Uonunissioners of the City of Salina,
x.ansas:
Section 1. Union Pacific Railroad Company is hereby granted the
right to construct, and it and its successors and assigns the right to
:maintain and operate a standard guage railroad track over and across
Elm Street in the Uity of Salina, Kansas in a location described as
follows;
Beginning on the south line of Lot No. 48 at a point
approximately 40 feet west from the southeast corner there-
of, said lot being on the north side of Elm Street between
Third and Fourth Streets, thence running in a southeasterly
direction across Elm Street to an intersection with the north
line of Lot No. 50 on the south side of said street at a
point approximately 30 feet west from the northeast corner
of said Lot rvo. 50, provided however, that no switch points
constructed or used in connection with the construction or
operation of such track or its connection with any other
track shall be placed in said Elm otreet or at any point.

the switch frog is placed in said Elm Street it shall be block-
ed so as to make it safe in the use of said street.
Section 2. paid railroad track and the paving and street cross-
ings thereby shall be constructed, maintained and operated in accor-
dance with the laws of the State of Kansas and the ordinances of the
City of Salina, now in force or hereafter adopted.
Section 3. phis ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official paper.

Elm Street in the City of Salina, Kansas in a location described as
follows:

of the City of Salina, now in force or hereafter adopted.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official paper.
