An ordinance making; an appropriation for the pt.yment of
a certain claim.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City
j of Salina, Kansas:
6 Section 1. That the sun of $12..652.27 be and the
same is hereby appropriated to C. P. Barrington from the
Special Paving Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer
of the City of Salina, Kansas, for the payment of 85%
of the contract price for the cost of excavating, grad-
ing, curbing, guttering and paving certain streets in
the City of Salina, according to City lhgineer's Esti-
mate Number 1, on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said City.
Section 2. That scrip of the City of Salina, Kan-
sas be drawn on the City Treasurer for the payment of
the claim mentioned in Section One (1) of this ordinance,
said scrip to be payable on or before September 1st,
1924, and to bear interest at the rate of one and one-
fourth (1-1A�£ per cent per annum.

Section 3, This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage.
