An Ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other
purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas for the year 1923.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
kansas :
Section 1. That the sum of .00784 mills on the dollar be
and the same is hereby levied on all real, personal and mixed
property of whatsoever kind or nature within the City of Salina,
Kansas for the year 1923 for the purposes hereinafter set fortn
and apportioned and divided as follows:
For General Revenue ........................... .00231
For the purpose of raising funds for the main-
tenance of a Fire Department and for the pur-
chase of equipment .000725
For Park Fund................0............0... .000356
For the purpose of paying any existing legal
obligations of the City fur Light 8: Water ..... 000157

issued during 1915-1916-1917-1918-1919-1920-

Section 2. That the sum of .00126 mills on the dollar
be and the same is hereby levied on all real estate in the City
of Salina, Kansas for the year 1923 for the purpose of paying
the annual installment and interest on Sewer Bonds issued
during 1914-1915-1916-1917-1918-1919-1920-1922 and 1923.
Section 3. That the valuation of the property upon
which the foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all
cases taken from the assessment rolls of the present year in
the office of the County Clerk of Saline Uounty, Kansas and
that it shall be the duty of the City Clerk of the City* of
Salina,Kaansas, immediately upon and after the passage of this
ordinance and on or before the 25th day of August, 1923 to trans-
mit a duly certified copy of the same to the County Clerk
of Saline Uounty, Kansas so that the levy may be placed
upon the tax roll and the taxes collected according to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.

Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, so that the levy maybe
placed upon the tax roll and the taxes collected according
to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.
