An Ordinance amending Ordinance Number 2.06 entitled, "An ordinance
relating to salaries and compensation of officers and employ-
ees of the City of Salina, Kansas -and repealing Ordinance
Nw-ber 2425 of the City of Salina,, : ansa s , s1 and repealing
such parts of ordinance Number 2906 as are in conflict
herewith.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Co.missioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That sub -division "d" of Section One (1) of
Ordinance 1N ber 2906 be and the same is amended to read as foal

(d) The Chief of -police shall. receive . A16�80- 00 per

increases in payment therein mentioned shall take
effect only when the police officer shall have
been in the continuous employee of the police
Department of the City of Salina for a period
which would entitle him to such an increase and
provided further, that such schedule shall not
affect the salary of any police officer now in
the employee of the police Department, but that
the salaries noir paid to all officers shsil re-
main the same until any such officer shall be
entitled to an increase innaccordnace with the
schedule herein provided for."
Nothing in this ordinance shall affect.or change the salaries
now being paid the Chief of .police, the Assistant Chief of police
or the Tiotorcycle Police now employed in the police Department

hereby repealed,
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full

now in service until January 1st, 19250 at which
time every fireman now in the employee of the Fire
Department shall have his salary increased in accor-
dance with the schedule herein provided, based upon
the continuous length of the employment of such
fireman at that date, from and after January 1, 1924.11.
Section 3. That original sub -divisions "d" and !!e!" of Section
One ll) of Ordinance Number 2905 be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.
