An Ordinance providing for the construction -of certain water
service pipes in the City of Salina, nsas. I
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Cmmunissioners of the City of Salina.,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real
estate in the City of Salina, Kansas and abutting
On Front Street from Elm Street to Pine Street,
being Lots 10-11-1-2-13-14-15-16-17-18 on Front
Street in Original Town to the City of Salina,
Kansasj Lots 14 to 20 inclusive in Flat G to the
City of Salina, Kansas.
On Eleventh Street from "ashington Avenue to
ly'lorrison 4 venue being Lots I & 7 in Block 53, and
Lots 2-4-6-8-10 & 12 Block 4 all in Replat of

Morrison's 3rd Addition to the City of Salina,
'�ansas.
On Beloit Avenue from Highland Avenue to Ninth
Street,, being Lots 12 & 14 on Ninrh Street and Lots
1-2-3-4-5 and 6 on Beloit Avenue all in Grounds of

Be and are hereby required and ordered to construct and lay
or to cause to be constructed and laid on or before the lst day
of "'larch 1924, water service. pipes from the water mains where
situate in teh streets whereon said real estate so described
abutts to the back of the curb line., said water service pipes to
be constructed and laid in the manner and of the size and material
as specified and required by the provisions of Ordinance Number
2410 of the,City of Salina, Kansas which said Ordinance No. 2410
is hereby by reference incorporated in and rade a part,of this
ordinance.
Section 2. That if the ovin.er or Qvrners of any of the ,real
estate above described shall fail, neglect or refuse to so con-
struct or cause to be constructed or laid said hater service
pipes before the lst day of Larch, 1924, then the Board of Com-
missioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall, as soon as prac-
ticable after the lst day of '"arch 19245, and before the laying
and construction of any pavement upon the streets above described
cause such water service pipes as described in Section One (1)
hereof to be constructed by contract according to lavr.
Section 3. That the cost and expense of the construction
and laying of any and all such water service pipes, if built by
the City of Salina, Kansas, under the provisions of Section Two
hereof, shall be assessed against the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on the street on vncc ih such improvement is made,, according
to the cost incurred by said City in making said improvement for
each of said desci rbed lots or parcels of ground, which special
assessments shall be by the City Clerk certified to the County
Clerk of ~aline County,--amsas to be by him collected according
to lave.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.

Kansas, under the provisions of Section Tvvo (2) hereof, shall be assessed
against the lots ad pieces of ground abutting on the street on which such
improvement is made, according to the cost incurred by said City in making
daid improvement for each of said described lots or parcels of ground,
which special assessments shall be by the City Clerk certified to the
County Clerk of Saline County,Kansas, to be by him collected according to
law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its, publication once in the official city paper.
