An Ordinance requiring the payment of certain suns into the City Treas-
ury df the City of Salina, Kansas and providing for the certifi-
cation to the County Clerk of certain sums not paid in and to be
assessed as taxes against certain land.
BE 1T uRDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Uity of Salina,
Kansas;
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following described.
lots and tracts of land be and they are hereby required to pay into
the City Treasury of the Uity of Salina. Kansas on or before the 13th
day of August, 1923 the sun set oppositethe land hereinafter described
for the payment of the amount assessed against the owners of such
tracts on account of the widening of.Republic.Avenue in the uity of
Salina, Kansas between Ninth Street and Sherman Street herein, ih acc-
ordance with the report of the appraisers heretofore filed in the offic
of the City Clerk of said City on the 14th day of April, 1923 and
accepted and approved by the -Doard of Commissioners on the 23rd day of
April as follows, to -wit:
REPUBLIC AVENUE'FROM NINTH STREET TO THE CENTER OF StiERMAN STREET
All of Block 17, Surveyors Plat 10, 15.00
North 200 feet of South 216 feet Block 160 Surveyors
Plat 10, 13.00
Section 2. That unless said suns are paid on or before the 13th
day of August, 1923 the city Clerk shall certify the assessments so
made and in the amounts as aforesaid together with interest at the rate
of six (6) per cent per annum upon any and all such assessments due and
unpaid, to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas at the same time
and in the same manner as other assessments are certified and the same
shall: be assessed against the tracts of land as hereinbefore set forth
and collected as other taxes against said land are collected.
Section 3. :chis ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
