An Ordinance requiring the payment of certain sums into the City
Treasury of the City of Salina, Kansas. and providing for the
certification to the County Clerk of certain sums not paid in
and to be assessed as taxes against certain land.
BE IT;ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following described
lots and tracts of land be and they are hereby required to pay into
the City Treasury of the City of Salina, Kansas on or before the 13th
day of August, 1923, the sum set opposite the land hereinafter de-
scribed for the payment of the amount assessed against the owners of
such tracts on account of the opening of Franklin Street in the City
of Salina, Kansas from Sherman Street to Ninth Street therein, accord-
ance with the report of the appraisers heretofore filed in the office
of the City Clerk of said City ori the 14th day of April and accepted
and approved by the Board of Commissioners on the 23rd day of April,
1923 as follows, to -wit:
FRANKLIN STREET FROM NINTH STREET TO CENTER.OF.SHEEMA N STREET
All of Block 18, Surveyor's Plat 10, $170.16
East 866 feet of Block 9, Surveyors Plat 100 ' 24.00
The wrest 264 feet of Block 9, Surveyors Plat 100
except a tract commencing 50 feet south of the north-
east corner of said Block 9, running thence south 50
feet, thence east 125 feet, thence north,50 feet to
place of beginning 6.00
The South 100 feet Block 110 Surveyors Plat 10, 31.30
All of Block 12, Surveyors Plat 10, 10.00
Section 2. That unless said sums are paid on or before the 13th
day of August, 1923 that the City Ulerk shall certify the assessments
so made and in the amounts as aforesaid, together with interest at the
rate of'six (6) per cent per annum upon any and all such assessments
due and unpaid, to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kahsas at the
same time and in the same manner as other assessments are certified
and the same shall be assessed against the tracts of land as herein-
before set forth and collected as other taxes against said land are
collected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper.

the same manner as other assessments are certified and the same
shall be assessed against the tracts of land as hereinbefore
set forth and collected as other taxes against said land are
