BE IT uRDAINED.by-the Board of Commissioners of:the Oity of oal ina, Kansas: Section 1. That it is hereby determined thatPlglacn:I: Street in the amity of ,aline, Kansas from the iwesti line of 'iiighlazid-.'tj to the saga$i line of Ninth Jtreet in said City shall be paved with. one' eotu se vitrified vertical fiber plain wire out brick, not less than three (3) inches deep, with asphalt filler laid on a foundation five (5) inches in depth of Portland Cement Concrete base with one (1) inch sand cush- ion, such pavement within the limits above defined to be thirty-three (33) feet in width excluding curb and gutter. Section 2. That it is hereby determined that 1Wi'lso6n'c Street in the City of ,alina, nansas from the ieadta line of lHighlland=t to the ;< eaSt line of Nfiith-Street in said city shall be curbed and gutter4rd with one-piece combination cement curb and gutter, said combined curb and gutter shall be comprised of a curb six (6) inches thick at the top and six and one-half (6Q') inches thick at the throat with gutter twenty- four (24) inches wide, six inches thick at the throat and s:,ven (7) inches thick next to the pavement. Section 3. All excavating, filling and rolling necessary for the proper construction of such improvements shall be'done and all of such improvements shall"be made and done in strict conformity to and in com- pliance with the plans and specifications heretofore made'by- the City Engineer of balina, nansas and now on file with the `'ity.Clerk of said City, which said plans and specifications are hereby incorporated in and made a part hereof in all respects as fully and completely as though written out at length herein; which plans and specifications are hereby adopted as and for the plans and specifications of such work and improve ments. �eetion 4. That a contract is hereby awarded to NI. R. Amerman for the curbing, guttering excavating, grading and paving the above mentions street in the limits aforesaid with the materials hereinbefore specified for the paving actually laid and put in place, for the labor actually performed and the materials actually furnished at the following prices; For excavating and grading seventy cents (70�j'per cubic yard; for Portland Cement Concrete combined curb and gutter eighty cents (80¢) per lineal foot and for paving actually laid and put in place Three and 18/100 Dollars --($3.18) per square yard. .. All of- said work -sha11 be paid for according to the measure ment made by the "ity engineer of the City of balina. It is hereby determined and found that the prices to be paid for the improvements as aforesaid is less than the est- imated prices of each and all of saiG improvements as now on file with the ''ity Clerk of said "ity. of alina, „ansas. Amerman, to whom said. contract is awarded. shall furnish to the City of Salina, a surety company bond in the approximate sum of the cost -of such improvements, guaranteeing the prompt, proper and workmanlike construction.of all the same, to- gether with a surety company bond guaranteeing such pavement againt all defects in material and workmanship for a.period of five (5) years from the date of its completion and acceptance by said City; and said contract is awarded upon a further condition that said M. R: Amerman shall furnish the pity of Salina a good and sufficient surety company bond guaranteeing said curb and gutter against all defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years. from the date of its completion and acceptance of such work by the Uity; together with a good and sufficient surety company bond runni ng to the Otate of Kansas in an amount appro xlmately equal to the contract price of said improvements and conditioned that said M. R. Amerman shall pay all indebtedness for labor and material furnished in making the improvements provided for herein. Section 6. The Board of Commissioners of the "ity of Galina, are hereby authorized"to make and enter into on behalf of said City all written agreements necessary in order to secure the con- struction of the improvements herein provided for. Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official City paper. Introduced for first reading.. June 18th, 1923. BE IT ORDAINED'by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That it is hereby determined that Wilson Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from the west line of Highland Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street in said City, shall be paved with one course vitrified vertical fiber plain wire out brick, not less than three (3) inches deep, with asphalt filler laid on a foundation five (5) inches in depth of Portland Cement Concrete base with one (1) inch sand cushion, such pavement within the limits above defined to be thirty-three (33) feet in width exclud- ing curb and gutter. Section 2. That it is hereby determined that Wilson Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from the west line of Highland Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street in said City shall be curbed and guttered with one piece combination cement curb and gutter, said combined curb and gutter shall be comprised 6f a curb six (6) inches thick at the top and six and one-half (612) inches thick at the throat, with gutter twenty-four (24) inches wide, six (6) inches thick at the throat and seven (7) inches thick next to the pavement. . Section 3. Amerman,. to whom said contract is awarded shall furnish to the City of Salina a surety company bond in the approximate sum of the cost of such Improvements, guaranteeing the prompt, proper and workmanlike con- struction of all the same together with a sftrety company bond guaranteeing such pavement against all defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of its completion and acceptance by said City; and said contract is awarded upon a further condition that said M.
