An Ordinance regulating the sale of gasoline from curb filling stations
within the fire limits of the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED.by the board of Commissioners of the 'ity of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That on and after the 1st day of June, 1924, it shall
be unlawful for any person, company or copporation, either as principal
or agent or employee of another to operate or maintain within the fire

any gasoline filling station or"l�ikeyoris lar apparatus or contrivance

� located upon a public sidewalk, or parking—a`'��acent.thereto, or upon
or adjacent to the curb of a public street and used or employed for the
sale and delivery of gasoline.
Section 2. That on and after the publication of this ordinance it
shall be unlawful for any person, company or corporation, either as
principal or as agent or employee of another to construct or cause to
be constructed within the fire limits of the amity of Salina, as now or
hereafter defined by ordinance, any gasoline filling station or similar
apparatus or contrivance located upon a public sidewalk_ or parking ad-
jacent thereto or upon or adjacent to the curb of.any public street
within such fire limits and used for the sale and delivery of gasoline.
Section 3. That on and after the publication it shall be unlawful
for any person, company or corporation, either as principal or as the
agent or employee of another, to build, construct, maintain or operate
upon any public sidewalk or parking adjacent thereto or upon or adjacent
to the curb of any public street outside the fire limits of the "ity of
Salina but within the corporate limits thereof, any gasoline filling
station or similar apparatus used for the sale and delivery of gasoline
withmut first having made written application to the "oars of Uommission
ers of said Qity for permission so to do and without having first receiv
ed from said 11oard of Commissioners a permit for the erection and oper-
ation thereof, such permits when granted shall be received by the
applicant subject to the right of the pity of oalina, thru action of it:
board of Commissioners to revoke such permit and to order the discon-
tinuance and removal in event the fire limits of said City shall be
extended so as to embrace the location where any such filling staion

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official Oity paper.

out first having made written application to the Board of Comm-
issioners of said City for permission so to do and without having ,
first received from said Board of Commissioners a permit for the
erection and operation thereof. Such permits, when granted, shall
be received by the applicant subject to the right of the City
of Salina, through action of its Board of Commissioners to revoke
such permit and to order the discontinuance and removal of such
filling station at any time, and subject to discontinuance and
removal in event the fire limits of said City shall be extended so
as to embr`se the location where any such filling station may be
located.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.
