2765 Levy AssessmentsF"S ORDINANCE _NO..2765 An Ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying.special assessments on certain lots and pieces._of.ground in the City of Salina, Kansas to pay.the cost of excavating, grading and paving Ash btreet in the -City of Salina, Kansas from the east line o Penn Avenue to the west line of Ohio Street in said City, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assess- ments. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. Said amounts leLiled, apportioned and assessed afores;.id shall be due and collectible in ten equal install- ments, the first becoming due with the taxes -levied for the ,year 1923"and one of said installments falling due each and every year thereafter until all are paid, and all to be collected with interest as in this ordinance provided; PRO- VIDED, that the owner of any piece of property liable for any such assessment may redeem 4his property from such liability by paying into -the City Treasury the entire amount chargeable against the same, as in this ordinance designated, at any time within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance and before the issuance of the bonds of'said'City in payment of the balance of said improvements, and his property so paid on shall not thereafter be liable for any further assessments for the cost of said improvements, nor for any part of said bonds. Section 3.
