An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain gas service pipes
in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kan-
sas;
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate in
the City of Salina, Kansas, and abutting
On Ash Street between Penn Avenue and Ohio Street, being
Lots 29 and 30, Block 7; Lots 29 and 30, Block 8; Lots 29
and 302 Block 9; Lot 15, Block 10; Lots 1 and 2, Block 12
and Lots 1 and 2, Block 13, all in Riverside Park Addition
to the City of Salina, Fansas, and Lots 26-27 and 28 in
Surveyor's Plat "G" of the City of Salina, Kansas,
be and they are hereby required and ordered to construct and lay or to
cause to be constructed and laid on or before the 15th day of May, 1923,
gas service pipes from the gas mains where situate in the street whereon
said real estate so described abutts to the back of the curb line, said
gas service pipes to k)e constructed and laid in the manner and size of
pipe and material as specified and required by the provisions of Ord-
inance No. 2410 of the City of Salina, Kansas, which said Ordinance No.
2410 is by reference hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinance.
Section 2. That if the owner or owners of any of the real estate
above described shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct or cause
to be constructed or laid said gas service pipes before the 15th day
of May, 1923 then the board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas shall, as soon as practicable after the 15th day of May, 1923
and before the laying and construction of any pavement upon the streets
above described, cause such gas service Pipes as described in Section
One (1) hereof to be constructed by contract according to law.
Section 3. That the cost and expense of the construction and
laying of any and all such E;as service Pit -es if built bz- the City of
Salina, I'ansas under the provisions of Section Two (2) hereof, shall be
assessed against the lots and pieces of ground abutting on the street on
which such improvement is made, according to the cost incurred by said
City in making said improvement for each of said_ described lots or par-
cels of ground, which special assessments shall'be'by the City Clerk
certified to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be by him
collected in like manner as other taxes and special assessments are
collected according to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full for-ce from and after its T)ubli(,.ation once in the official
City paper.

of any and -all such gas service pipes, if built by the City of Salina, Kansas

of said described lots or parcels of ground, which special assessments shall
be by the City Clerk certified to the Couhty Clerk of Saline County, Kansas
to be by him collected in like manner as other taxes and special assessment&
are.collected according to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper.
