An Ordinance' providing for the construction of certain sewer service
pipes in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas;
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and abutting
On Ash Street between Penn Avenue and Ohio Street, being
Lots 20 and 30 in Block 7, Lots 29 and 30 in Block B,
Lots 29 and 30 in Block 9, Lot 15 in Block 100 Lots 1
and 2 in Block 12 and Lots 1 and 2 in Block 13, all in
Riverside Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas,
and Lots 26-27 and 28 in Surveyor's Plat "G" of the City
fo Salina, Kansas,
be and they are hereby required and ordered to construct and lay or to
cause to be constructed and laid on or before the 15th day of May..
1923, sewer service pipes from the sewer laterals where situate in the
street whereon said real estate so described abutts to the back of the
curb line, said sewer service pipes to be constructed and laid in the
manner and of the size and material as specified and required by the
provisions of Ordinance No. 2410 of the City of Salina, Kansas, which
said Ordinance No. 2410 is by reference hereby incorporated in and made
a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. That if the owner or owners of any of the real estate
above described shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct or cause
to be constructed or laid said sewer service pipes before the 15th day
of htay, 1923 then the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas
shall as soon as practicable after the 15th day of May, 1923 and before
the laying and construction of any pavement upon the streets above de-
scribed cause such sewer service pipes as described in Section one (1)
hereof to be constructed by contract according to law.
Section 3. The cost and expense of construction and laying; of any
and all such sewer service pipes if built by the City of Salina, Kansas
under the provisions of Section Two (2) hereof shall be assessed against
the lots and nieces of ground abutting on the street on which such im-
provement is made according to the cost incurred by the City in mak-
ing said improvement for each of said described lots or parcels of
ground, which special assessments shall be by the City Clerk certified
to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas to be by him collected
in like manner as other taxes and special assessments are collected
according to law.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the officidLl City
paper.

collected according to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper•
