3557 Street Improvements North Street499 ORDINANCE NO. 3557 (Published in the Salina Journal ��,� y 1928) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the excava- tion, grading and paving of North Street from the east line of Twelfth Street to the city m s at the intersection of North Street with the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way being the gest line of Whittredge Street, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. 'That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of L. W. Rexroad hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on June 11th, 19280 and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners to said contractor, and signed on behalf of the city by the Mayor on June 12th, 1928, for the following improvements in the following manner to -wit: The excavating, grading and paving of North Street in the City of Salina from the east line of Twelfth Street to the city limits at the intersection of North Street with the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way, being the west line of Whittredge Street, as authorized and provided for by Ordinance No. 3531 of said city, be and the same are hereby,ratifed and confirmed and that said North Street be so improved within the said limits, as provided for in said contract, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and now on file in the° office of the City Clerk, which plans and specifications have been heretofore and are now hereby approved by the Board of Commissioners, with 7 inch Portland Cement Reinforced Concrete Paving, 30 ft. in width, at the contract price of.70 per square yard, and with excavation including all free haul, filling, rolling, tamping, grading, etc., as per specifications, at the contract price of 82 cents per cu. yd., which work shall further include all other work necessarily incidental to the construction of said improvements at and for the unit prices contained in the proposal of said contractor and in said contract, which proposal and contract are hereby made a part of this ordinance by reference as fully as if set forth here- in, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk on May 21st, 1928s which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. That all excavation and filling and all of the labor performed and all material furnished for such work shall be in strict conformity to and in compliance with the Clans and speci- fications of the City Engineer, above referred to and which are hereby incorporated into and made a part hereof as fully as though written out at length herein, section 3.
