An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain water service
pipes in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas;
Section.l. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and abutting
On Beloit Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Fourtif Street,
being, Lots 21-22-23-24-25-26-27-28-29-30-31-32-33-34-35
and 36 on Beloit Avenue in the Ground., of Kansas Wesleyan
University Addition to the City of Salina, Kanaas,
on Eleventh Street from Iron Avenue to Walnut Street, being
Lots 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19 and 20 on
Eleventh Street in Phillips Second Addition to the City of
Salina, Kansas, Lots 4 -5 -and -6 on Eleventh Street in heplat
of Bishop & Blodgett Addition and Lot 15 on Eleventh Street
in Jurveyors Plat "B" of the City of Salina, Kansas,
be and are hereby required and ordered to construct and lay or to
cause to be constructed and laid on or before the 25th day of April,
1923, water service pipes from the water mains where situate in the
streets whereon said real estate so described abutts to the back of
the curb line, said water service pipes to be constructed and laid
in the manner and of the size and material as specified and required
by the provisionf Of Ordinance No. 2410, of the City of Salina, Kansas
which said Ordinance No. 2410 is by reference hereby incorporated in
and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. That i•f the owner or owners of any of the real estate
above described shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct or cause
to be constructed or laid said water service pipes on or before the
25th day of April, 1923, then the Board. of Commissioners of the City
of Salina, Kansas, shall, as soon as practicable after the 25th day
of April, 1923 and before the laying and construction of any pavement
upon the streets above described, cause such water service pipes as
described in Section One (1) hereof to be constructed by contract
according to law.
Section 3. 'chat the cost and expense of the construction and
laying of any and all such water service pipes, if built by the City
of Salina, Kansas under the provisiong of Section Two (2) hereof,
shall be assessedfagainst the lots and pieces of ground abutting on
the street on which such improvement is made, according to the cost
incurred by said City in making said improvements, for each of said
described lots or parcels of ground, which special assessments shall
be by the City Clerk certified to the County* Clerl� of Saline County,
Kansas to be by him collected in like manner as other, taxes and
special assessments are collected according to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after, its publication once in the official
City paper.

An Ordinance providing for the constriction of certain water ser-
vice pipes in the City of Salina, Yansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real
estate in the City.of Salina, Kansas and abutting
On Beloit Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Fourth Street,
being Lots 21-22-23-24-25-26-27-28-29-30-31-32-33-34-
35 and 36 on Beloit Avenue in the Grounds of the Kansas
Wesleyan University Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas,
un Eleventh Street from ;.ron Avenue to 9Yalnut Street
being Lots 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19
and 2) on Eleventh Street in Phillips Second Addition
to the City.of.Salina, Kansas, Lots 4 -5 -and 6 on Ele-
venth Street in Replat of Bishop and Blodgett Addition
and Lot 15 on Eleventh Street in Surveyors Plat "B"
of the City of Salina, Kansas, W

ticable after the �,�^ day of _ , 1925, and before
the.laying and construction of any pavement upon the streets above
described, cause such water service pipes as described in Section
One Cl) hereof to be constructed by contract according to law.
Section 3. That the cost and expense of the construction and
laying of any and all such water service pipes, if built by the
City of Salina, 'ansas under the provisions of Section Two (2)
hereof, shall be assessed against the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on the street on which such improvement is made, accord-
ing to the cost incurred by said City in making said improvements.,
