An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain gas service
pipes in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas;
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any and all real estate
in the City of Salina, Kansas and abutting
On Beloit Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Fourth Street, being
lots 2.1-22-23-2.4-25-26-27-28-29-30-31-32-33-34-35 and 36 on
Beloit Avenue in the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University
Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas,
On Eleventh Street from Iron Avenue to Walnut Street being
Lots 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19 and 20 on
Eleventh Street, Phillips 2nd Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas;_Lots 4=5- and 6 on Eleventh Street in Replat of
Bishop and Blodgett Addition and Lot 15 on Eleventh Street
in Surveyors Plat "Bi! of the City of Salina, Kansas,
be and are hereby required and ordered to construct,and lay or to
cause to be constructed and laid on or before the 25th day of April,
1923, gas service pipes from the gas mains where situate in the
streets whereon said real estate so described abutts to the back
of the curb line, said gas service pipes to be constructed and laid
in the manner and of the size and material as specified and required
by the provisions of Ordinance No. 2410 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
which. said Ordinance No. 2410 is by referehee herein incorporated in
and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2.' That if the owner or owners of any of the real estate
above `'described shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct or cause
to be constructed or laid said gas service pipes before the 25h day of
April, 19230 then the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina..
Kansas shall, as soon as practicable after the 25bh. day of April, 1923,
and before the laying and construction of any pavement upon the streets
above described, cause such gas service pipes as described in bection
One (1) hereof to be constructed by contract according to law.
Section 3. That the cost and expense of the construction and
laying of any and all such gas service pipes, if built by the City of
Salina, Kansas under the provisions of Section Two (2) hereof shall be
assessed against the lots and pieces of ground abutting on the street
on which such improvement is made, according to the cost incurred by
said. City in making said improvement for each of said described lots
or parcels of ground, which special assessments shall be by the City
Clerk certified to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas to be by
him collected in like manner, as other taxes and special assessments
are collected according to law.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City paper.

hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. That if the owner or owners of any of the real

the day: of , 1923, then the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Salina, Kansas shall, as soon as practicable after
