AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of Osborne Street from the south
line of Republic Avenue to the north line of Cloud
Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, .
Kansas.
Sdetion 1. That ten (10) feet on each side of Osborne Street
in the City of Salina, !Censas, from the south line of Republic Avenue
to the north line of Cloud Avenue in said city, except that portion
thereof where the same is crossed by intersecting streets and alleys
running east and west between said Republic Avenue and Cloud Avenue,
be and the same is hereby vacated; the.portion of said street being
vacated being more particularly described as follows: commencing
at the southwest corner of the intersection of Republic Avenue at
Osborne Street, the same being the northeast corner of Lot 19 on
Republic Avenue in the Addition to the Kansas Wesleyan University
Grounds; thence south along the west line of Osborne Street in said
Addition according to the original plat thereof as filed in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas, to the north line
of Cloud Avenue, said point being the so utheast,corner of Lot 20 on
Cloud Avenue in said Addition; thence east ten (10) feet along the
nofth lineof Cloud Avenue; thence north parallel with the west line
of Osborne Street to the south'line of Republic Avenue; thence west
ten (10) feet to point of beginning. Also commencing at the southeast
corner of the intersection of Republic Avenue and Osborne Street, being
the northwest cornets of Lot 21 on Republic Avenue in said Addition; 7:_•:.
thence south along the east line of Osborne Street in said Addition
to the north line of Cloud Avenue, said point being the southwest
corner of Lot 22 on Cloud Avenue in said Addition; thence west ten (10)
feet along the north line of Cloud Avenue; thence north parallel with
the east line of Osborne Street to the south line of Republic Avenue;
thence east.ten feet to point of beginning.
Provided however; that said portion of Osborne Street so
vacated shall not include the intersections of said portions of said
street with the streets and alleys running east and west through said
Addition according to the recorded plat thereof and lying between Re-
public Avenue and Cloud Avenue therein; and provided further, that when
in the opinion of the governing body of the City of Salina it is
necessary to re -open the portion of said street so.vacated, it shall
be re -opened without expense to the city, except in cases where
permanent improvements may have been erected thereon as provided in
Section 13-443 Revised Statues of Kansas 1923.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication in the official city paper.
