1 of Ordinance Number 2282, the same being Sec. 29-104, Revised 9irdin-
ances 1925, providing for a limitation of the speed of motor vehicles in
the City of Salina, Kansas and repealing said original sections and des-
ignating such new section as Sec. 29-104, Revised Ordinances, as amended
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 4 of drdinance No. 1983 as amended by 6ection 1
of Ordinance No. 2282, the same being Sec. 29-104, Revised. ordinances 1925,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 29-104, SPEED
LIMITS. Sec. 4. That no person shall operate a motor vehicle in any street,
avenue, drive or other highway in the City of.?alina, Kansas at a rate of
speed greater than 25 miles per hour or at a rate of speed greater than is
reasonable and proper and having regard for traffic and use of the road and
condition of the road, nor at a rate of speed such as to endanger the proper-
ty of life or limb of any person, provided that no person shall drive any
motor vehicle on any portion of any street, avenue, alley, drive or other
highway adjacent to any public or private school. grounds in the City of Sa-
lina at any time when any school children are .on or adjacent .to the grounds
or buildings of such school or approaching the same upon that portion of any
street, avenue, alley, drive or highway adjacent to such school at a rate of
speed greater than 15 miles per hour."
Section 2. That original Section 4 of Ordinance Number 1983 and Sectioi
1 of Ordinance Number 2282, being Sec. 29-104, Revised Ordinances 1925, be
and the same are hereby repealed and that such section as amended by desig-
nated as Sec. 29-104, Revised Ordinances, 1925.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in Hill force from
and after its publication once in the official City paper.

section as amended be designated as See. 29-104, Revised Ordinances
1925.
Section 3, This ordinance shall take effect and be in full, force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper.
