An Ordinance prohibiting boating or canoeing on the Smoky fill River
from the south line of the Iron Avenue bridge to the dam across
said river north of said bridge adjacent to the present location
of the Western Star hill, making the violation hereof a mis-
demeanor and providing a penalty for such violation.
BE I'T ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas: Iu .
Section 1. That boating or canoeing on the Smoky Hill River
from the south line of the Iron Avenue bridge across said. river to
the dam across said river north of said bridge, adjacent to the pres-
ont location of the Western star Mill' be ang._the. same is hereby

prohibited and any person who shall row, pro.pell or drive or who
shall permit the rowing, propelling or driving of any boat or canoe
in any manner whatsoever on said Smoky Hill River, within the limits
above defined shall be deemed guilty.of a misdemeanor and upon convic-
tion thereof shall be fined in any sum not less 'than •w5.00 nor more
than 4x25.00.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City paper.
