VlHEREA S, J. Earl Wyatt, owner of the real estate hereinafter de-
scribed has offered to convey the ssme;by warranty Deed to the City of
Salina for str•^et purposes, the same to constitute an extension of Balmer
Street in said City from the south line of South,Street to the north
line of Morrison Avenue therein, and
VIEIEHFYS, the opening of said street will be of benefit to the prop-
erty abutting thereon and to the City of.Salina at large, NOVI THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City.of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Baker Street in the City of. Salina, Kansas be exte-
nded and opened between the south line of South Street and the north
line of Morrison Avenue in said City to include the following described
real estate, to -wit: The West 40 feet of Lot 11 and the West 40 feet of
the East 80 feet of Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, all in Block 4
in Morrison Addition, an addition to the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas.
Section 2. That the street to be opened along and upon the real
estate described in the preceeding section hereof shall be known as
Baker Street and that the same shall be used only for the purposes of
a public street and highway'.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the execution and delivery by J. Earl Wyatt to the City of
Galina of a General Warranty Deed conveying to the City of Salina the
above described tracts and pieces of land in fee simple, free and clear
of all encumberances, liens, taxes or assessments, for street purposes
only and from and after its publication once in the official City paper
and after the recording of said deed and a certified copy of this ordin-
ance in the office of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas.
