3091 Book Publication of Ordinances-OR
An Ordinance authorizing and providing for the publication in. book form of
the revised and compiled ordinances of the City. of Salina, Kansas and
providing for the authentication and distribution thereof.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 13-2902 of the hevised
Statutes of Kansas, 1923, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas, by Ordinance Number 3068, passed and approved. February 9th, 19252
ordering a revision and compilation. of the general.. ordinances of said City
to be made, and
INFERF.FS, said ordinances have been revised and compiled as authorized
by said ordinance and the City of Salina has accepted such revision and
compilation, and
WHEREAS, the City of Salina has entered into a contract with E. I,.
Mendenhall, Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri for the publication of three
hundred copies of said ordinances in book form, NOW THENEFORE,
BE IT OHDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the publication of three hundred copies. of said revised
and compiled ordinances in book form is hereby autho rized;..that said book
shall be known as "The hevised Ordinances of the City of.Saline;" that the
publication of said book is hereby authorized of all ordinances passed by th
Board of Commissioners to take effect upon their publication therein; and
that upon their publication in said book said ordinances shall take effect
and be in force pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Sec-
tions 13-1422, 13-1423 and 13-2902 of the hevised Statutes of Kansas, 1923;
and that all ordinances published in said book to take.effect upon such
publication and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances remaining in
effect at the time of such publication and published therein shall be read
and received in evidence in all courts and places without further proof
thereof, pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of said Section
13-1422 of the hevised Statutes of Kansas, 1923, provided however, that the
City Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas shall certify and stall attach to
said book his certificate that the ordinances published in said book are
the ordinances duly authorized to be published by the Board of Commissioners
pursuant to ordinance Number 3068, and that all such ordinances or parts of
ordinances so published remain in effect at the date of such certificate
and publication, and that such certificate of authentication shall be
printed in each copy of such book.
Section 2. 'That said books when printed shall be delivered to the
City 'Clerk of the City of Salina. Kansas, who shall thereupon deliver. one
copy thereof to each of the following persons, to -wit: rhe City n'lanae.er,
each of the members of the Board of Commissioners, the City Attorney, the
Police Judge, and the Judge of the District Court of .Saline County, and to
each of the compilers of said book; one copy each to the Salina "'ree Public
.Library and the State Library at Topeka; and one copy to the head of each
hoard or Commission appointed by the City and the head of each department
of the City Government, such books to remain the property of such department
or boards. Ile shall also send one copy thereof. to the City rittorney
of each City of the first-class in the State of.Kansas, and to the
City Attorneys of such other cities in the -State -of Kansas as may have
or shall hereafter reciprocate by exchange s. of. the City Ordinances of
said cities. He shall retain in his of.fi.ce such additional copies
thereof as the City Pianager may deem necessary. for the use of the
City or for such distribution as may be ordered by the City Manager,
and the remaining copies of such books'shall beheld by the City Clerk
for sale to such persons as may desire the same_.a.t the price of ;$L.00
per copy. The Clerk shall take receipts from all persons to whom
free conies are delivered and. shall. keep a. record of all persons to
whoni books are sold.
Section 3. '.this ordinance shalltake effect. and be in full force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.

ORDINLNCE NO. 3092:'
An Ordinance authorizing and providing for the publication in book form
of 'the revised and compiled ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and providing for the authentication and distribution thereof.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 13-2902 of the

hundred copies of said ordinances in book form; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the publication of three hundred copies of said
revised and compiled ordinances in book form is hereby authorized; that
said book shall be known as "The Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina";
that the publication in said book is hereby authorized of all ordinances
