3075 Regulating Fuel StorageAn Ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2352.of the City of Salina, Kansas entitled, "An Ordinance regulating the building and maintenance of certain tanks used for the storage of fuel oil, petroleum, gasoline or other.line.combustible, inflammable and dangerous products or .materials, and provid- ing certain penalties for the violation hereof," and repeal- ing said Original Section 1 thereof. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Oity of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. 11hat Section 1 of Ordinance Number 2352 of the City of Salina be and the same is. hereby. amended to read as follows: "Section 1. -- That it shall hereafter be unlawful for any per- son, company, co -partnership, corporation or association to own, keep or maintain, either as principal or agent, above ground and within 100 feet of any dwelling house or other building within the City of Salina, any tank of more than 100 gallons. capacity used for the storage of fuel, oil, crude oil, petroleum, gasoline or any other combustible, inflammable or dangerous proauce or material, unless such tanks with their appliances and the premises upon which the same are situated shall be constructed and maintained strictly in accordance with the terms of this ordinance and with the regulations herein provided for, provided however, that the provisions of this ordinance shall not apply to tanks used for the storage of distillate or other similar fuel oil used for domestic heating, having a capa- city of 2000 gallons or less where the distillate or other similar oil stored in such tank is for the use of heating the building situa- ted on the premises where such tank is located." Section 2. That original Section One (1) of Ordinance Number 2352 of the Oity of Salina be and the same is hereby repealed. ection 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official City paper. Introduced for first reading, February '16th, 1925.
