3486 Licensing for Operating AuctionsORDINANCE NO. 3486 BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That every person, firm or corporation operating or conducting an auction of any stock of goods or merchandise, or any part thereof, from any place of business of such firm or corporation or from any other place in the City of Salina or who shall sell or offer for sale or who shall cause to be sold or offer for sale at auction any stock of goods or merchandise or any part thereof from any such place, except such as may have secured licenses and paid license fee under the provisions of Sections 14-106, 14-151 and 14- 152, Revised Ordinances 1925, shall first secure a license therefor from the City Clerk and shall first pay a license tax therefor in the sum of $100 per day, and any person, firm or corporation or any agent, representative, employee or officer of any suc# person, firm or corporation who shall conduct or operate any such auction or who shall sell or offer for sale or shall cause to be sold or offer for sale at auction any such goods or merchandise without first securing such license and paying such license fee shall be deemed guilty of mis- demeanor and shall be fined not less than $100 nor more than $500 for each offense and each days operation of any such auction shall constitute a separate offense; PROVIDED that this ordinance shall not be deemed to apply to the sale at auction of second hand or used goods or merchandise. Section 2. 1`hat Section 14-107 of Revised Ordinances, 1925 and all other ordinances or parts of ordinance of the City of Salina in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same are here- by insofar as they conflict with this ordinance repealed. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That every person, firm or corporation operating or conducting an auction of any stock of goods or merchandise, or any part thereof., from any place of business of such firm or corporation or from any other place in the City Of Salina or who shall sell or offer for sale or who shall cause e to be sold or offer for sale at auction any stock of goods or merchandise or any part thereof from any such place, except such as may have secured licenses and paid license fee under the provisions of Sections 14-106, 14-151 and 14-152, Revised Ordinances 19259 shall first secure a license therefor from the City Clerk and shall first pay a license tax therefor in the sum of $100 per day, and any person, firm or corporation or any agent, representative, employee or officer of any such person, firm or corporation who shall conduct or operate any such auction or who shall- sell or offer for sale or shallcause to be sold or offer for sale at auction any such goods or merchandise without first securing such license and paying such license fee shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and shall be.fined not less than $100 nor more than $500 for each offense and each days operation of any such auction shall constitute a separate offense; PROVIDED that this ordinance shall not be deemed to apply to the sale at auction of second hand or used goods or merchandise. Section 2.
