AN ORDINANCE vacating a certain part of a certain alley in the
block bounded by Ellsworth Avenue, Jewell Avenue., High-
land Avenue and Ninth Street.
BE IT ORDAINED by the board of Commissioners of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That that part of the north and south alley
between Highland Avenue and Ninth Street, running south from
Ellsworth Avenue to the north line of the east and west alley
which runs from Highland Avenue to Ninth Street between Ellsworth
Avenue and Jewell Avenue, be and the same is hereby vacated,
subject to the right of the City of Salina to re -open t! -'e same
at any time in the manner provided by law., the part of the alley
so vacated lying west of and adjacent to Lot One (1) on Ellsworth
Avenue, and east of and adjacent to Lots 38.. 40 and 42 on Ninth
Street, all in the Grounds of the Kansas Wesleyan University,
an addition in Salina, Kansas,
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
publication in the official city paper, and after a certified
copy of the same together with the proof of publication thereof
shall have been filed and recorded in the office of the Register
of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas*
