3050 Prohibit Stores Putting Refuse in the Streets/Sidewalksblished in 1'he S An Ordinance prohibiting the sweeping or depositing of dust, dirt, papers, sweepings or other refuse from the interior of any store, office or other building or part thereof in the Oity of Salina upor any public sidewalk, street or alley in said City, and providing a penalty for the violation of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Galina, Kansas: Section 1. "'hat it shall be unlawful for any person, co -partner- ship or corporation or any agent, servant, employee, member, officer or representative thereof to sweep or otherwise deposit any dust, dirt, papers, sweepings or other refuse from the interior of any store, office or other building or part thereof in the Oity of Salina into or upon any public sidewalk, street or alley in said City. Section 2. Any person who shall vi,o7s..teeor:.permit the violation of this ordinance by any person in his employee or under his custody, sup- ervision, charge or direction shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in.any sum not exceeding 4p25.00. Section 3 The owner, manager or person in charge of any business, store or building in the City of Salina shall be deemed to be respon- sible for the observance of the provisions of this ordinance by all persons in his employ or under his direction and 'shall be deemed guilty of the violation of this ordinance by any such servant or employee, pro• vided however that the provisions of this section shall not be deemed to relieve the person actually violating the same from punishment for such violation. Section 4. 'Phis ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the official City paper. Introduced for first reading, December let, 1924.
