3463 Sale of Real EstateAN ORDINANCE confirming and ratifying sale of certain real estate by
the City of Salina and authorizing the execution and de-
livery of a warranty deed therefor.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 3291 of
the City of Salina, passed and approved on September 7th, 1926s and
duly published in the official city paper on October 2nd, 1926, the
sale of certain real estate belonging to the City of Salina, to -wit:
Lot 124 and north 62 inches of Lot 126 on Fifth Streets in the City
of Salina and appurtenances thereto was at
Salinas pp , a Eeneral election held
in the City of Salina on November 2nd, 1926 authorized by 6�ojority
of the legal voters of said city voting on said proposition at said
election, said sale to be for cash for not less than $7,000.00 and
WHEREAS, on September 8th, 1927 said real estate was duly offered
for sale at public auction, and was sold to Owen Foran for the sum
of $7,200.00, said Owen Foran being the highest and best bidder there-
for at said sale; NOW THEREFORE,,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the sale by the'City of Salina to Owen Foran
of the real estate above described, for the sum of $7,200.00 be and
the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, and that the mayor of the
City of Salina be and he is hereby authorized to execute and acknow-
ledge on behalf of the City of Salina, and to deliver to said Owen
Foran the warranty deed of said city, to be attested by the City
Clerk= conveyingto said purchaser the following described real
estate in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, to,*,wit: Lot
124 and the north 62 inches of Lot 126 on Fifth Street in the City
of Salina, together with an undivided One half interest in the two
story and basement brick wall situated on the south six and one half
inches of the north thirteen inches of said Lot 126, upon payment to
the City of Salina by said purchaser of the sum of 0?,200.00.
Sj,ction 2. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to deliver to said purchaser with said warranty deed a
certified`oopy of said Ordinance No. 3291, and of the proclamation
first published in the Salina Journal on October 7th, 1926 relating
to said election, and of the records of the Board of Canvassers showing
the result of said election, and of this ordinance.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.
