An Ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other
purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas for the year 1924.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of )alina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of .00782 mills on the dollar be and
the same is hereby levied on all real, personal and mixed property
of whatever kind and nature within the City of.Salina, Kansas for
the year 1924 for the purposes hereinafter set forth and appor-
tioned and divided as follows:
For General Revenue ... ... ... ......
For the purpose of raising funds for the maintenance of
a Fire Department and for the purchase of equipment ..

Section 2. That the sum of .00098 mills on the dollar be and
the same is hereby levied on all real estate in the City of Salina,
Kansas for the ,year 1924 for the purpose of paying annual installment
and interest on Sewer Bonds issued during 1915-1916-1917-1918-1919-
1920-1922-1923 and 1924.

Section 3. That the valuation of the property upon which the
foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken from
the assessment rolls of the present year in the office of the County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas and that it shall be the duty of the
City Clerk of the City of Salina, nansas, immediately upon and after
the passage of this ordinance and on or before the 25th day of August,
1924 to transmit,a duly certified copy of the same to the County Clerk
of Saline County, Kansas so that the levy may be placed upon the tax
roll and the taxes collected according to law.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City paper.
