ORDINANCE NO. 3437
AN ORDINANCE appropriating certain money out of the Bond Sinking
Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer for the purchase
of certain judgment bonds of the City of Salina.
WHEREAS, certain bonds have been issued by the City of Salina,
Kansas dated April ist, 1927 in the principal sum of Forty Thousand
($40,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of retiring and paying a cer-
tain judgment against the City of Salina, Kansas in favor of the
Salina Waterworks Company, which bonds have not been sold by said.

WHEREAS, there is in the hands of the City Treasurer, in
the Bond Sinking Fund, funds sufficient to purchase said bonds at
lipar and accrued interest, which fund in the amount necessary for
such purpose will not be needed before the maturity of said bonds,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas.
Sectional. That there be and there is hereby appropriated
out of the Sinking Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer, $41,626,64
being the principal and interest on $40,000.00 par value of certain
judgment bonds of the City of Salina, dated April lst, 1.9272, and
that the City Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized to purchase
said bonds at par and accrued interest and pay therefor, by trans-
ferring from the Sinking Fund to the water and light fund, which
fund is liable -for the payment of said judgment, purchase price of
said bonds above mentioned, and that he hold said bands in lieu.of
-the amount paid.therefor out of said Sinking Fund,
Semon 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
after its passage.
