AN ORDINANCE defining and establishing a parking zone for bussess
and stages on Ash Street in the City of Salina, prohibiting
the parking of other vehicles in said zone, and repealing
Section 3 of Ordinance No. .2173.
BE I`f ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1 That a parking zone for busses or stages be and
the same is hereby established on the north side of Ash Street between
a point 78 feet west of the west line of Santa Fe Avenue and a point
78 feet east of the east line of Seventh Street, and that no vehicle
shall be parked or allowed to stand on the north side of Ash Street
between the point hereinabove ddsignated except busses and stages duly
licensed by the State Public Service Commission for the purposes of
hauling passengers within the State of Kansas, or interstate busses
not requiring such licenses, provided however, that no such busses or
stages shall be permitted to park or stand within such space except
for a reasonable length of time, sufficient to discharge and receive
passengers and baggage, in no event to exceed fifteen minutes before
departure or after arrival of each bus or stage.
Section 2. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 8173 and all other
ordinances or parts of ordinance, and any permits heretofore granted
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
Section 3. That any person who shall violate or who shall
cause or permit the violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be
fined in any sum of not less than $5.00 nor more than $25.00 for each
offense.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.
