3372 Extending Corporate City LimitsI I� ORDINANCE NO 3372 Published in the Salina Journal qm 1927 II AN ORDINANCE providing that certain unpaltted tracts of lands which join the present limits of the City of Salinas Kansas, be added to, taken into and made a part of the City of Salina, extending the city limits of said city so as to include such added land; defining the corporate limits of said city as extended, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City Of Salinas Kansas: Section 1. That that certain tract of unplatted,land,, com- prised of Lots 23 and 24 in Surveyors Plat No. 8 in Saline County,, Kansas* being a part of the northwest Quarter Of Section 18, Town- ship 14 Souths Range 2 west in Saline County* Kansas, together with those portions of the south half of Stapler Avenue and the north half of Gypsum Avenue lying adjacent thereto, and which tract is described by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at a point in the center of Stapler Avenues (as the same is shown on the re- corded plat of Phillip's East Salina Additions since vacated except as to certain streets) due north of the northeast corner of said Lot 23 in Surveyor's Plat 8; thence west along the center of Stapler Avenue to the east line of Delaware Avenue; thence south along the east line of Delaware Avenue to the center line of Gypsum Avenues - thence easterly along the center of Gypsum Avenue to a point due south of the southeast corner of said Lot 23 in Surveyor's Plat 8; thence north along the east line of said Lot 23, and said line pro - ducted, to the point of beginning; which tract does not exceed twenty aeres,in area and which is so situated that all of the norths west and southerly boundary lines thereof lie upon or touch the present boundary line of the CitY,Of Salinas and which tract is necessary to be added to said eity.for the purpose of making the boundary line there of straight and harmonious, be and the same is hereby added to, taken into.and,made a part of the City Of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That the corporate limits of the Cityof Salina., be and the,same are hereby extended to include the territory added to taken into and made parts,of said City by the provisions of the pre- ceding section of this ordinance; and that all land lying within the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits of the City of Salinas Kansas,. and a part,of such City, and that such corporate.limits,be and the same are hereby defined as follows, to -wit: Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of Ninth Street with the center of Cloud Avenueq being the aornereommon to Sections 23, 24s 25 and 26s Township 14s South, Range 3 west of the 6th P. Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance be and the same are, in so far as they conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, repealed. Section 5. That if any section of this ordinance or any clause or any part of any such section shall be held unconstitutional or void for any reason, all other sections, clauses or parts of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect irrespective of any such holding or decision, it being the intention to adopt each section, clause or part of this ordinance independently of any other section, clause or part thereof.
