ORDINANCE NO. 3365

AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the curbing
guttering, excavating, grading and paving of Pacific Street
from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to the center line of
Front Street in the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina.,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the contract entered into between the City
Of Salina and L. IN. Rexroad on April 18th, 1927, and executed by
the Mayor on behalf of the Board of Commissioners of the said city
on said date, for the curbing, guttering, excavating, gradin6 and
paving on Pacific Street from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to
the center line of Front Street in said city, in accordance with
the proposal of said L. VV. Rexroad filed in the office of City
Clerk and submitted to the Board of Commissioners on April 18th,
1927, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed and that
said Pacific Street be so improved within said limits, as pro-
vided for in said contract, in accordance with the plans and
specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and now
on file in the office of the City Clerk, which plans and speci-
fications have been heretofore and are now hereby approved by the
Board of Commissioners with 8 inch combined curb and gutter 24
inches wide exclusive of width of curb, at the contract price
of $1.00 per lin. ft., and with 7 inch reinforced concrete paving
36 feet in width, at the contract price of X2.69 per sq. yd., and
with excavation in6luding all free haul, filling, rolling, tamping,
fine grading, raising and lowering manholes, etc., as per specifi-
cations, at the contract price of x;.80 per cTg yd.; and which work
shall further include all double gutter, wooden headers, straight
curb, manholes, inlets, inlet connections and other work necessarily
indidental to the construction of said work, at and for the unit
prices contained in the proposal of L. W. Rexroad and in said con-
tract, which proposal and contract are hereby made a part of this
ordinance by reference as fully as if set forth herein.
Section 2. That all excavating and filling and all of the
labor performed and all material furnished for such work shall be
in strict conformity to and in compliance with the plans and speci-
fications of the City Engineer, above referred to and which are
hereby incorporated into and made a part hereof as fully as though
written out at length herein.

Section 2. That all excavating and filling and all of the

are hereby incorporated into and made a part hereof as fully as

Section 3. That the performance, statutory and maintenance
bonds furnished'by said contractor pursuant to the provisions of
said contract, dated April 19th, 1927 and executed by the Southern
Surety Company as surety be and the same atv hereby approved.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication in the official city
paper.
