AN ORDINANCE vacating a certain alley in the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina..
Kansas:
Section 1. That the present sixteen foot alley running
east and west between Jewell Avenue and Ellsworth Avenue, from
Santa Fe Avenue to Fourth Street, be and the same is hereby vacated
(except that portion thereof which intersects the north and south
alley running through the same block) and that the land comprising
such vacated alley shall revert to the owners of the land thereto
adjoining on each side, in equal proportions; PROVIDED, however,
that such alley may be reopened as provided by law; and provided
further that there be reserved therein an easement for the mainten-
ance of electric light and telephone poles and wires in their
present location, until the same may be placed in underground
conduits, and that a further easement along such vacated alley
be reserved for the construction and maintenance of sewers, gas
and water mains, and electric light and telephone conduits, which
have been or may at any time be constructed therein for public
purposes by, or with the consent of, the City Of Salinas Kansas.
Section 2. 'That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its publication in the official city paper.
