3247 Regulating Municipal Swimming PoolRDINANCE-N0.-324.7,_ n ' 71 D AN ORDINANCE regulating the use of the MunicipaY Swimming Pool, prohibit- ing the use thereof to certain per:o ns, conferring certain authority on the Superintendent of said pool and other em- ployees and officers, and providing certain.penalties for the violation of the provisions of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas; Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person having or suffering from any venereal disease or any other contagious or infections disease or who shall have on his or her person any open sores, wounds, cuts, rash, skin eruptions or whose appearance shall give evidence of any skin or blood disease, to enter the municipal swimming pool located in Oakdale Park in the City of Salina. Section 2. That it shall be the duty of the superintendent of said Municipal Swimming Ppol or of any life guard or other employed there- of, or any police officer, to prhhibit the admission of any person described in Section 1 of this ordinance or whose appearance indicates the existence of any disease mentioned in Section 1 hereof, from entering said swimming ppol, and to remove from said swimming pool any such person who may have entered the same without the knowledge or over the objection of said .super- intendent; employee or officer. Section 3. That no person shall enter said swimming pool with- out first taking a shower bath, and without first, if directed by said superintendent, or other person in charge of the pool, complying Vi th such other directions or regulations, relating to the use of soap or otherwise, as such superintendent or other person may require. Section 4. Any person who shall conduct himself or herself in a disorderly or indecent manner in or about said pool shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished as hereinafger provided for and shall be.removed from said pool, or from Oakdald Park, on order of the superinten- dent of said pool, and -may, in the discretion of such superintendent, be thereafter refused admission to said pool. Section 5. That the superintendent of such swdW ming..pool shall prepare a set of rules and regulations governing the use of said swimming pool and the dressing rooms and grounds adjacent thereto, and the conduct of persons therein, and shall change or amend such rules or regulations .from time to time.as the need therefor may arise, which with any such amendments or changes shall be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for their approval. After such approval, such rules shall be printed and posted -in conspicuous places in the dressing rooms, toilets and other places in and about said pool, and after such posting, any violation of any such rules shall be considered a violation of the provisions of this ordinance, and any person violating the same shall be refused admission: to or removed from the pool, as the case may require. 6) 4�0 Section 61. That any person violating any of t$e provisions of this ordinance or any of the rules posted by the superintendent of said swimming pool in accordance with the provisions of this ordin- ance shall be deemed guilty of a middemeanor and shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $50.00 for each offense. Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper. Introduedd for first reading May 14th, 1926.
