AN ORDINANCE providing that certain unplatted tracts of land be added
to, taken into, and made a part of the City of Salina,
Kansas.. -and extending the City limits of said city so as
to include said added land and repealing all ordinances or
parts pf ordinances which are in conflict with any part of
said ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kam
Section 1. That that certain tract of unplatted land which is
described by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the pointlof
intersection of the center line of Iron Avenue with the center line of
Wisconsin Avenue as shown on'the recorded plat of Phillips East Salina
Addition in the office of the Register of Deeds of Salire County, Kansas
(such addition east of Deleware Avenue with the exception of certain
streets therein having been vacated by an Act of the Legislature);
thence North along the center line of Wisconsin Avenue 447.8 feet more
or less to the north line of Section 18, Township 14, Range 2 in Saline
County, Kansas; thence east along the north line of said Section 1 8,
425 feet mote or less to the northeast corner of the North West Quarter
of said Section 18; thence south along the center line of said Section
Eighteen 458.1 feet more or less to the center line of Iron Avenue;
thence west along the center line of Iron Avenue 425 feet more or less
to point of beginning; which said tract does not exceed twenty acres
in area, and which is so situated that more than: two-thirds of the west

boundary line thereof lies upon or touches the present boundary line of
the City of Salina and which contains and consists of that part of Lot
1 in Surveyor's Plat No. 8 lying south of the north line of said Section
18 together with the east half of Wisconsin Avenue and tJe north half of
Iron Avenue within the limits above defined, said tract lying within and
being a part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said
Sectioni 80 be added to, taken into and maria a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That that certain tract of unplatted land which is

lature); thence south along the center line of Wisconsin Avenue,470 feet
more or less to the center line of Stapler Avenue as shown on the plat
of said Addition; thence east along the center line of Stapler Avenue
(now vacated) 425 feet more or less to the center line of Section 18,
Township 14, Range 2 in Saline County, Kansas; thence north along the
center line of said Section Eighteen 470 feet more or less to the center
line of Iron Avenue; thence west along the center line of Iron Avenue
425 feet more or less to point of beginning; which said tract does not
exceed twenty acres in area and which is so situated that more than two-
thirds of the west boundary line thereof lies upon or touches the present
boundary line of the City of Salina, and which contains and consists of
certain lots known as Lots 13 to 19 inclusive in Surveyor's Plat No. 8
together with the south half of Iron Avenue, the east half of Wisconsin
Avenue and the north half of Stapler Avenue (vacated) and the public high-
way lying along the east side of said Loi 19, all being a part of the
Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 18, be added to,
taken into and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.;'
Section 3. That the corporate limits of ath6 City of Salina,
including the territory added to said City by the provisions of the pre-
ceding sections of this ordinance are hereby defined as hereinafter in this
section set forth and that all land lying within the following described
boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate
limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, and a part of such City, such bound-
aries and corporate limits being as follows, to-wtt: Cognencing at the
point of intersedtion3of the center of Ninth Street with the center of Cloud
Avenue, being the corner of Sections 23, 24, 25 and 26, Township 14 South,
Range 3 West of the 6th P. M. in Sabine County, Kansas; thence west along
the south line of said SectioO 23 to the southwest corner of Evergreen Park
Addition; thence north along the west line of Evergreen Park Addition to
the northwest corner of said Addition, such point being in the south line
of Claflin Avenue as shown on the plat of Pleasant View Addition; thence
west along the south line cf Claflin Avenue to the southwest corner of
Pleasant View Addition; thence north along the west line of Pleasant View

Section 4. That all references in this ordinance to any
addition be deemed to refer to and that the same does refer to such
addition as originally platted and as the certificate of the same is
recorded in the office of.the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kam Es
Section 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this (r dinancebbe and the same are, in so far as they
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, repealed.
Section 6. That if any section of this ordinance or any
clause of any part of any such section shall be held unconstitutional
or void for any reason, all other sections, clauses or parts of this
ordinance shall remain in full force and effect irrespective of any suds
holding or decision, it being the intention td adopt each section,
clause or parts of this ordinance independently of any other sectiony
clause or part thereof.
Section 7. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official city
paper.
