An.Ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of $5,69T.70 be and the same is hereby
Appropriated out of the unexpended balance in the Water and Light
Fund for 1925, in the City Treasury, for the payment of claim filed
by Stone, McDermott, Webb & Johnson of Topeka, Kansas, on account of
services, expenses and cash advanced by them as attorneys for the City
of Salina in the proceedings in the United States District Court for
the purchase of the property of the Salina Water Works Company, and
in the action pending in the United States District Court entitled
The Salina Water Works Company,vs The City of Salina.
Section 2. That the director of finance be and he is hereby
authorized to issue a warrant countersigned by the City Manager upon
the City Treasurer for the payment of the claim above mentioned.
Section 3. This ordinance shall takeeffedt and be in force
from and after its passage.
