3225 License TaxORDINANCE NO. 3225 (First Published in The Salina Journal March 6tho 19261 AN ORDINANCE providing for anot levying a license tax on certain businesses, fixing the amount of such tax, and providing for any violation of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That any person engaging temporarily in the business of selling or offering for sale, at retail, for on or behalf of himg self or for or on behalf of any person, firm or corporation men's or women's clothing, weating apparel, shoes., -hats or millinery, from any temporary location, sample room, hotel room or any other place in the City of Salina, unless such goods have been listed for taxation and assessed and taxed in the City of Salina, shall secure a license for carrying on such business from the City Clerk of the City of Salina, before commencing to.sell, offer for sale,or display any such goods, and shall pay for such license at the ra&e of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars per day. Section 2. The license provided for in Section 1 shall be applied for, issued and governed by and in gecordanee with -the provisions of Seetions'14-1472 14-148 and 14-149 of the Revised Ordinances of Salina 1925. Section 3. Any person who shall engage in any business mentioned in Section 1 hereof without first securing a license therein required and paying the license tax as therein provided for, or who shall violate any of. the provisions.of.this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in qny sum of not less than one hundred dollars_ and not more than three hundred dollars, and each day's violation of any of the provisions of this ordin- ance shall be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper. Introduced for first reading, March 3rd, 1926.
