3174 Requiring ZoningAN ORDINANCE providing for and requiring the recommendation by the
City Planning Commission to the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina of the boundaries of certain zones or districts
into which such City shall be divided for the regulation and
restriction of the location of trades and industries and the
location, erection, alteration and repair of buildings designed
for specified uses, and the uses of land, within each such district
or zone; providing for the submission of a tentative report by
said Commission 'containing such recd:mnendation and for public
hearings thereon and for the submission of a final report there-
after.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the City Planning Commission of the.,City of
Salina, Kansas, heretofore created pursLa nt to law, be and they are
hereby required to recommend to the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Salina the boundaries of Districts or zones to be established in
said City within which the location of trades and industries, and the
location, erection, alteration and repair of buildings designed for
specified uses and the uses of land within each such district of zone,
are to be regulated and restricted; and that said City Planning
Commission further recommend to the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Salina such appropriate regulations relating to such restrictions
within such districts as such commission shall deem reasonable and
proper. That said City Planning Commission shall submit a tentative
report containing such recommendations herein provided for to the
Board of Commissioners on or before the 26th day of October 1925 and
shall hold public hearings thereon for the consideration of objections
the eto at the public meeting room of the Board of Commissioners in the
City Hall in the City of Salina on October 29th and October 30th, 1925s
commencing at the hazer of 5:00 P. M. onea.ch of said days, first having
given public notice of the time and place of such hearings by notice
published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Salina,
such notice to be published at least three days before the date of the
first hearing, and that on or before November 2nd 1925 the said City
Planning Commission shall submit to the Board of Commissioners its final
report containing the recommendations herein provided for.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall tape effect and be in
force from gnd after its publication once in the official city paper.
