3173 Regulating Traffic and ParkingORDINANCE NM4BER 3173. AN ORDINANCE regulating vehicular traffis and the parking of vehicles on certain streets and public thoroughfares in the City of Salina, Kansas, defining the violation thereof as a misdemeanor and prdviding a penalth for such violation. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 1. That no vehicle shall enter Ninth Street in the City of Salina from Mulberry Street without first being brought to a full and complete stop. Section 2. That no vehicle shall be parked or allowed to stand on the part of Ninth Street between Walnut Street and South Street adjacent to the grounds of the Bartlette School on any day of the week except Sunday. Section 3. That no vehicle shall be parked or allowed to stand on the east side f Seventh Street bwtween the south line of Ash Street and a point 2 eet south thereof or on the south side of Ash Street between the east, east thereof except busses and of hauling passengers by the St state busses not requiring such of Seventh Street and a point 25 feet s duly licensed for the purpose Public Service Commission, or inter - which shall be permitted to stand or park in such spaces for a rea\bgage., gth of time sufficient to receive%and discharge passengers annot to exceed 10 minutes before departure or after arristage or bus;. -Section 4. That no vehicle rked or allowed to stand on or along the following described streets, or parts thereof, in the Cityof Salina unless such vehicle shall be parked parallel with the curb and so that the right side of said Uehicle shall be not more than one foot distant from such curb, to -wit: The eldest sbd.e of Seventh Street from the south line of Walnut Street to the north line of South Street; the West side of Eighth Street from the south line of Ash Street to the north line.of South Street; The West side of Ninth Street from the south line of Ash Street to the north line of South Street; Walnut Street from the west line of Seventh Street to the east line of Ninth Street; The nath side of Mulberry Street from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street; South Street.from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street. Section 5. That any person who shall drive or cause to be driven any vehicle in violationnof the terms of this ordiance or who shall park or stand or cause to be parked or left standing any vehicle contrary to the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not more than $25.00 for each offense. Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper. Introduced for first reading October 5, 1925. That no vehicle shall be parked or allowed to stand on the east side of Seventh Street between the south line of Ash Street and a point 25 feet south thereof or can the south side of Ash Street between the east line of Seventh Street and a point 25 f eet east thereof except busses and stages, duly licensed for the -.purpose of hauling passengers by the State Public Service Cobmission, or inter -state busses not requiring such license w1hich. shall be permitted to stand or park in such spaces for a reasonable length of time sufficient to receive and dis- charge passengers and baggage not to exceed 10 minutes before depart*_ wre or, after al -rival of each stage or bus. Section 4, That no vehicle shall be parked or allowed to stand on or along the following described streets, pr parts thereof, in the City of Salina unless such vehicle shall be parked parallel with the curb and so that the right side of said vehicle shall be not moi°e than one foot distant from such curb., to -wit: The west side of Seventh Street from the south' line of Walnut Street to the north line of South Stureet; the West side of Eighth Street from the south line of Ash Street to the north line 40 0 of South street; The west side of Ninth Street from the south line of Ash Street to the north line of Soatn Street; W9.3x4t Street from the west line of Seventh Street to the east line of Ninth Street; The north side of Mulberry street from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street; South Street from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of Nimth Street. Section 5. That any person who shall drive or cause to be driven any vehicle in violation of the wrens of this ordinance or who shall park or stand or cause to be parked or left standing any vehicle contrary to the provisions of t4is ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not wmer more than $25.00 for each offense.
