Taylor Construction Company for the construction of certain curbing, guttering and paving improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary j F notes to ray the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of 6ommissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company hereinafter re- ferred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Com- missioners on June 15, 1931, vrhich is hereby found and determined to be the lc,vest and best bid for such 1r,rork, and the contract a,,,,,arded by the Board of Commissioners of said city and signed '-)y its Mayor on June 15, 1931, for the construction of certain public improvements in `he City of Salina, to-z.rit: Paving intersection of Overhill 'toad and Fairdale Road, as provided for by Ordinance No. 4072. Curbing and guttering Twelfth Street from the north line of North Street to the south line of Lincoln Street, as provided for by Ordinance No. 4071. Curbing and guttering North Street, from the west line of Twelfth Street to the east line of Thirteenth Street, as provided for by Urdinance No. 4070., at and for the unit prices for said work contained in said pror_osal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being, within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Olerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby refer -ed to and madeparts of this ordinance. Section 3. '1�hat temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the C'ty Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by lava, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4-1/2" per annum and to mature not later than December 31, 1931, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of suchvork maTT be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. i j Section 4.
