4050 Construction of Storm Sewer #21 & #23ORDINAAiCE NO. 4050 (Published in the Salina Journal 1931) { I AN ORi�I�ANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction ! of Storm Sewers No. 21 and 23 in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary rotes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the pro- posal of R. C. Snyder, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on March 2, 1931, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such i-ork, and. the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of said city by its Mayor on March 2, 1931, for the construction of Storm Se,r,ers No. 21 and 23 as provided for by Ordinance No. 4021 and 4028, said storm sewer No. 21 to be constructed of No. 2 double strength vitrified clay pipe in sizes 12 inch, 15 inch, 18 inch and 21 _nch; and storm sewer No. 23 to be constructed of No. 2 double strength vitrified clay pipe in size 15 inch, at and for the unit rpcies contained in said proxosal, which rroposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said pror,osal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as sho:^✓n by the s:^iorn estimates of the City Engineer filed in the office of the C3t7✓ Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 2. That said Storm Sewers 1=o. 21 and 23 shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications there- for prepared by the Cite Engineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made Parts of this ordinance. Section 3. That temborartr notes signed by the �,;ayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract Trice for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4-1/4`"" per annum and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as m^ney for the payment of the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to said contract- or and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. 0 1 } Section 4.
