4043 Regulating Outdoor AdvertisingORDINANCE NO. 4043

AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3999 relating to
signs, billboards and outdoor advertising etc., and repealing
said original Section 3 of said ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3999 be amended to
read as follows:
"Section 3. Nothing contained in this ordinance shall be
deemed to permit the erection, construction or maintenance of any
billboard or sign of any nature .,!hatsoever in any location in the
City of Salina where the erection, construction and/or maintenance
of the same is or may be otherwise prohibited by the zoning ordinance
of the City of Salina; or in any other location in the City of Salina
except where the license or permit therefor and the location of such
sign or billboard shall be specifically approved by the action of
the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina; and ,!,herever in
this ordinance provision is made for the issuance of any license
or permit, no such license or permit shall be issued by the City
Clerk or any'other officer of the City of Salina until the same
shall have been specifically approved and authorized by the Board
of Commissioners."
Section 2. That original Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3999 be
and the same is her^by repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
after its publication in the official city paper.
