4037 Construction Storm Sewer #22(PUBLISHED in the Salina Journal 1931) ORDINANCE._ NO. 4037 AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract f of the construction of Storm Sewer No. 22 in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on March 9, 1931, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf j of said city by its Mayor on March 9, 1931, for the construction of Storm Sevier No. 22, as provided by ordinance No. 4021, said storm sewer to be constructed of 42 inch No. 8 Gage, Armco Iron Corrugated Culvert Pipe, at and for the unit prices contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer filed in the i office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 2. That said Storm Sewer No. 22 shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City s Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and i a under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses { in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4-1/4/ per annum, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permament bonds are issued In lieu thereof.
