AN ORDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property
in the City of Salina to pay the cost of constructing certain
sidewalks therein.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed

against each of the lots hereinafter described a special tax or assess-
ment for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing sidewalks as

j authorized by ordinance No.3970, abutting on said property, to -wit:

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to
immediately certify the assdssments made in Section One (1) of this
ordinance to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed
upon the tax roll fuer collection, subject to the same penalties and
i
collected in like manner as other taxes with interest at 61"o per annum.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take of ect and be in force
from and after its publication once in the official city paper.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Coimnissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
