4012 Combining City Manager & Superintendent of Waterworks PositionsORDINANCE NO. 4012 ( Published in the Salina Journal f f AN ORDINANCE relating to the offices of the City Manager and Superin- tendent of the Waterworks Department of the City of Salina; providing for the combining of such offices and for the holding of such offices by one person; providing a salary for such combined offices and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance. I BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the office of City Manager of the City of Salina, as provided for by lay, and as created and provided for by f Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2397, being Section 6-102 of Revised Ordinances 1925 and the office of the Superintendent of Waterworks Department of the City of Salina, as provided for and created by Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3191, be and the same are hereby combined, to the extent that such offices shall be hereafter held by one person, who shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kar.sas, as City Manager of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that the person so appointed to such office shall be ex officio, Superintendent of the Waterviorks Department of the City of Salina, { j Kansas. Section 2. That the person appointed by the 'Ooard of Com- missioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, as City Manager and ex - officio Superintendent of the Iaterworks Department, as provided for j in Section 1 of this ordinance, shall perform all of the duties nova pro- vided for by lain, and by the ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, for and in relation to the office of the City Manager, and Superintendent of the 'at erworks Department of the "i ty of Salina, and such other and further duties as may be provided for and required from time to time by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina. Section 3. That the salary (,f the City Manager, and ex officio i Superintendent of the yaterworks Department, shall be $5000 per year, to be paid in equal semi-monthly installments, one half charged to i the General Fund and one half to the .'iaterworks Department. Section 4. The City Manager, and ex officio Superintendent of the '� aterworks Department, shall take an oath for the faithful T,erformance of the duties of such offices, and shall cause a bond, Wraith proper sureties, approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, in the sum of $5000, conditioned for the faithful performance of such duties, to be executed and filed with the City 6lerk, after which all future liability on any prior existing bonds I covering such offices shall terminate. Section 5. shat all ordinances or parts of ordinances of the City of Salina, specifically in conflict with any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be and they are hereby, in so far as they specifically conflict with any of the provisions of this ordinance, repealed.
