ment Bonds of the Citi- of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of

lateral sewer cistricts above mentioned, to be paid by special
assessments levied ul. n all lots and pieces of ground liable for
the paVnent of said lateral sanitary sewers in lateral se; er dis-
tricts above mentioned, has been ascertained and ;s hereby found
and det^rmined to be the sum of x'24,270.91, hick anoint has been

nieces of ground liable therefor payable in ten equal installments

Kansas:
Section 1. That for the purpose of providing fund to pay
the cost of the improvements hereinbefore described there shall be
issued and there are hereby issued Internal Improvement Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas, in the total principal sum of :;22,995.80,
to consist of 28 bends, numbered from 1 to 28 inclusive, all dated
December 1, 19305, hich shall become due serially in denominations
as follows:

No. 2 for $500.00 due December 1, 1932

All of said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of 4-1/4
per cent per annum, palTable semi-annually on June 1st and December

Section 2. Said bends shall be e1_ecuted by the ','Iayor and shall
be attested by the Cit -,r "lerk, and the corporate seal of the city
shall be affixed thereto. Said bonds shall have attached thereto
interest coupons representing the interest thereon and said i_nter,�st

the �'n1jpty of Saline, State of Kansas, acknowledges itself to be
indebted and for 7.7alue received hereby promises to pay to the
bearer the sum of

of December 1930, with interest thereon from the date hereof at
the rate of four and one-fourth per cent (44) per annum, payable
semi-annually on the first days of June and December in each year,
on presentation and surrender of the interest cou ons hereto annexed
as said cou-,- ns severally become due,both principal and interest
of this bond being payable at the office of the State Treasurer of
the State of Kansas, in the City of TO,eka,Kansas. And said city
of Salina, Kansas is held and firmly bound by these presents and
the full faith, credit and resources of said city are hereby
irrevocably pledged for the payment of said principal and interest
at maturity.
This bond is one of a series of 23 bonds of like date and tenor,
excepting denomination and maturity, aggregating the principal sum
of $22,995.80, issued by the City of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose
of paying the cost of constructing certain lateral sanitary seerers
in said city by the authority of and in full_ compliance with the
la179 of the State of Kansas, including Sections 10-101 to 115 and
Sections 12-617 to 12-629 of the Revised Statutes of Kansas 1923, and
all amendments thereof, and all other crovisions of the laws of said
state applicable thereto, and this bond and al" other 1-onds of this
series, and all interest thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina,
Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, condi-
tions and. things required to be done and to exist precedent to and
in the issuance of this bond have been properly done and performed
and do exist in due and. regular form and manner as required by the
Constitution and laws of the State of Kansas, and that the total in-
debtedness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not
exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation.

cuted this bond by causing it to be signed by its Mayor and its

and to advertise and sell the same in the manner provided by law,
and, when duly executed and registered to deliver said bonds to

An Ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance of.
Improvement Bonds.of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the
sum of X22,995.80, to pay the cost of constructing certain..
lateral sanitary sewers in said City.
11HEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had.according to
law, contracts.have.been-let and performed for the following
work:
The construction of lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral
Sewer Districts'No. 5-144-145-147-140-153-157-160-162-163 and
164.
WHEREAS, the cost of said lateral sanitary sewers constructed
in lateral sewer districts above mentioned, todbtrpatdsbyofipecial
assessments levied upon all lots and pieces of ground liable for
the payment of said lateral sanitary sewers in lateral.seiver
districts above mentioned, has been ascertained and is hereby_
found and determined to be the sun of $24,270.91, which amount
has been heretofore duly assessed and apportioned to the several.
lotstand pieces of ground liable therefor payable in ten equal
installments according to law as provided in the ordinances of
the City of Salina relating thereto, duly passed and approved,
of which amount the sum of 01,275.11 has been paid by certain
of. the property owners liable therefor, and whose property has
been thereby discharged from any further assessment for the cost
of said improvements in the amounts so .paid, leaving a balance
for which bonds will be -issued in the sum of $22,995.80; and
VHEREAS,, the total amount for which bonds are to be issued
for the payment of the above described improvement has been and
is hereby determined to be the sum of $22,995.80; NOW THEREFORE
