A_' ORDI'ATdCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construc-
tion of Storm Se—er No. 20, in the City of Salina, and pro-
viding for the issuance of temG.orary notes to pay the cost
thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Coj►missioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the
proposal of R. C. onyder hereinafter referred to as the"Contractor"
as submitted to the hoard of Commissioners on October 27, 19309
i,hich is hereby found and detQrmined to be the lowest and best

bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Com-
missioners of said city to said. contractor and signed on behalf
of said city by its Ma,ror on October 27, 1930, for the construction
of Storm Sewer No. 20 as provided for by Ordinance No. 3972, said
storm sewer '-o be constructed of Reinforced Concrete Pipe in sizes
48 inch and 54 inch at and for the unit prices contained in said
prorosal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and
made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified
and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of
said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City
Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates
are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 2. That said storm sewer No. 20 shall be built and
constructed in accordance ��,ith the plans and specifications there-
for prepared by the City Engi eer and on file in the office of the
City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor
and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby re-
ferred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City clerk be issued from time to time as the 117ork progresses
in the manner and form as required by lave, the total amount thereof
not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear
interest not to exce-d 41 per cent per annum and to be issued in such
amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such
work may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and
to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are
issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its putlication in the official city paper.

ORDINANCE N0. 3982 -
An Ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction
of Storm Sewer No. 20, in the City of Salina, and providing
for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof
pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1.
That the acceptance by the City of Salina of
the proposal of R. C. Snyder hereinafter.referred to as the
"Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October
270 1930, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest
and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board
of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf
of said city by its Payor on October 27, 1930, for the construction
of Storm Sewer No. 20 as provided for by Ordinance No. 3972, said
storm sewer to be constructed of Reinforced Concrete Pipe in
sizes 48 inch and 54 inch at and for the uhit prices contained in
said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to
and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified
and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said
improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer

said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that
permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its publication in the official city paper.
