3981 Confirm Utility ImpORDINANCE NO. 3981 (Published in the Salina Journal 1930) iLN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction of Storm Sewer No. 19 in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of R. C. Snyder, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 13, 1930, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of said city by its Y.a�jor on October 13, 1930, for the construction of Storm i Se,uer No. 19 as provided for by Ordinance No. 3962., said storm sewer to be constructed of No. 2 double strength vitrified clay pipe in sizes 12 inch and 15 inch, at and for the unit prices contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being v,ithin the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinanc=z. Section 2. That said Storm Sewer No. 19 shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Ingineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in accordance rich the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 3. -ghat temporary notes signed by the Majror and attested b,, the City Olerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by la'^,,, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such rork, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4-1/2% per cent per annum and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such !r;ork may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
