3916 Miniature Golf Course LicenseORDINANCE NO. 3916 (Published in the Salina Journal 1930) AN ORDINANCE fixing and providing for a license tax upon a certain occupation or business, and providing for the issuance of licenses therefor, and providing a penalty for the violation of this ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of t'ommissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. No person, firm or corporation, either as principal or as the agent, representative or employee of another shall con- duct, pursue, carry on or operate in the City of Salina the occupation or business of operating or conducting a Miniature Golf �'ourse, for profit or compensation, without first having obtained a license therefor from the City lerk, and paying therefor a license fee of $50.00 per year, or for such portion of the calendar year as may remain after the date of the issuing of the same. Section 2. No such license shall be granted until the person, firm or corporation applying for thn same shall exhibit to the City Clerk a permit for the operating of the same granted by the ''oard of Public Welfare of the pity of Salina, and. any license granted hereunder shall be revoked without further notice if any such per- mit granted by the Board of Public Welfare shall be revoked at any time by such Board. Section 3. No license shall be granted or issued hereunder for the operation of any such Miniature Golf Course at any place in the City of Salina if the operation of the same in such location is prohibited by the existing zoning ordinance of the �;ity of Salina; Provided, that this section shall not apply to such Golf "ourses now in operation, until after December 313, 1930. Section 4. The licenses herein provided for shall expire on December 31st following the date of the issuing of the same. Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation, or any agent, representative or employee thereof who shall conduct or operate any such Miniature Golf Course in the City of Salina or who shall direct, permit or assist in the conduct or operation of any such Miniature Golf Course, after this ordinance takes effect, without such license fee having paid shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than $50.On for each offense, and each day upon which the operation of the same is conducted or carried on without such license shall be deemed a separate offense.
